По умолчанию Getty Institute will digitize the German auction catalogs 1930-1945 years

California Research Institute, the Getty received a grant from the National Endowment for Humanities (National Endowment for the Humanities), which will go to create an archive of auction sales in Germany 1930-1945 period. The project aims to help those who are investigating the provenance of stolen Nazi cultural values. Getty and his partners - the Heidelberg University Library and the Library of Art National Museum of Berlin - are going to digitize auction catalogs of the time. Is promised, that these publications will be available to the public.

National Endowment for Humanities and the German Research Foundation donated 174 thousand U.S. venture in total they have given to various cultural organizations, five grants totaling $ 1.67 million. All of these projects, to which American scientists will work together with German colleagues, use of digital technologies.
