Artist and poet, Havrylchyk and his art and lifestyle epitomized the most creative, that is nekommertsializirovannye and non-ideological beginning of that particular culture, which was formed in Leningrad in 1970 as opposition to the culture of the semi-official.
Havrylchyk began his artistic career as an artist seventh day. Professional Navy officer, he took up art, became a matter of his life, being already well-established man. However, the primitive method, which lasted more than a decade, marked by internal development: from the natural and spontaneous naivizma worldview Havrylchyk to end 70 years comes to understanding primitivist techniques as specific means of expression. This is not a traditional "ignorant" Painting: naivistskaya intonation quite otrefeksirovanna Rather, it is the line of the absurd attitude that leads its origins from the poetics 20-30-ies, and which is painted socio-cultural impulses of the "Soviet way of life 70. In the 1980's in the works Havrylchyk growing social motives, however, its representational portraits and genre is difficult to consider the rise in social-art: rather, it is very personal, ironic, is not lost narrotivnosti historical painting.
