Topics of the past is closely interwoven with the themes of heroic present. Artists have been witnessing rapid and direct participants in the attacks and military assaults, heavy military campaigns and battlefields. Time does not wait. I had to write lively impressions. The artists worked, straining every nerve. Painting was not always possible, some of them lacked the depth of disclosure topics, the forces of generalization. Yakovlev, BN (1890-1972) People's Artist of Russia (1962), corresponding member AH the USSR (1958). Winner of the Stalin Prize (1949). Member of Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia (acted as one of the organizers of artists of Revolutionary Russia in 1922).

BN Yakovlev, one of the organizers of the artists of Revolutionary Russia (1922-1932).

He taught in VGIK (1956-1963). Professor. People's Artist of the RSFSR, corresponding member of USSR Academy of Arts.
Solo exhibition took place in Moscow (1943, 1966) and Kiev (1959).

Works BN Yakovlev kept in the Tretyakov Gallery and Museum, many regional museums.
