Kurilko Mikhail Ivanovich (12.06.1880, Kamenetz-Podolsk - 01/03/1969, Malakhovka Phys. Reg.) Theater artist, architect. Honored. deyat. Arts of the RSFSR (1955). Graduated from the Higher artist. School of the Arts (1913) and archaeological. Institute (1914) in St. Petersburg. The designer AMD. and opera productions in theaters in Moscow, Leningrad and Kiev. In 1924-28 Sec. Hood. Bolshoi. He has designed this ballet "Esmeralda" (1926, baletm. Tikhomirov) and "Red Poppy" (1927, baletm. Tikhomirov, LA Lashchilin, 1949, new ed., Baletm. LM Lavrovsky, State . Prize of the USSR, 1950; also the author of the libretto). Participated in creating a project of the Novosibirsk Theatre. In 1914 began ped. activities (1914-24 in Leningrad in 1939-46 in Phys. Institute of Architecture in 1946-60 in Phys. Institute. VISurikov). Since 1940 prof. Among the students - VY Leventhal.
