In May and August 1918 in the Volga region, Siberia and the Urals, the Czechoslovak Corps opposed the Soviet regime. The Supreme Council of the Entente decided to use the Czechoslovak Corps in the vanguard of its armed forces against the Soviet power in Northern Russia and Siberia. However, due to the ensuing guerrilla movement in Siberia and the Far East against the Whites the Czechs refused to carry out punitive function, demanded the repatriation and the evacuation of the Czechoslovak Corps. September 2, 1920 the last White Czechs left Vladivostok. Among the participants of the tour was a lot of artists, they returned to Prague, created the album "Czech legion in Russia. 1922. 99 watercolors and drawings on the theme - from the Urals to Vladivostok.
