In recent years, May 9 takes on new meaning for all who care about the Russian history. As we approach this date Ideological confrontation, in evaluating the role of Stalin in World War II, is becoming more acute. For those who want to extol Stalin, today there are many tools for promoting their own ideas. The "Snob" decided to create a platform for alternative expression. We believe that art has been and remains the best way to talk on the socially significant topics. That is why we decided to organize an exhibition for May 9 and anti-Stalinist poster contest "Not one step back!"
By participating in the exhibition are invited leading contemporary artists, designers and curators. Among them - Paul Pepperstein, Boris Akimov, Dmitry Vrubel, Lena Karin Stas Zhitsky, Sasha Gusov, Victor Puzo and others.
The exhibition will open at the Gallery of Marat Gelman, and Julia, May 27, 2010.
At the same time, wanting to make the exhibition "Not one step back!" A platform for the expression of as many people, the project "snob" has decided to include a number of additional works selected on a competitive basis.
Participation in the contest:
1. Deadline: work accepted from 20 April to 10 May inclusive.
2. Genre: poster, made in any technique. Warning: be accepted only works never exhibited before.
3. Form submit works: works only accept a JPG, no more than 1000 pixels on the larger side. The authors of papers should be prepared in case of an invitation to participate in the exhibition by the selection committee, to give a poster as suitable for printing. Applications that do not meet the technical requirements will not be considered.
4. Address for submission of works: works send to the address
contest@snob.ru, headline writing - "Not one step back!". In the body of the letter must specify the name of work, name and surname of the author and your contacts. Applications that do not meet the technical requirements will not be considered.
5. Each author may submit an unlimited number of works.
