Is the International Committee of the Red Cross, ICRC, and it is funded by voluntary contributions made by States Parties to the Geneva Conventions (governments), national Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, interstate organizations (eg European Commission), as well as public and private structures.
At the end of each year, the ICRC carries out a campaign to raise funds to finance a headquarters operations and operations carried out on the ground. Operational, statistical and financial information on spending is reflected in the Annual Report.
The ICRC was thrice awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, in 1917, 1944 and 1963.
