Attached is an image of the reverse of your painting (left) and, the reverse of a painting owned by our family (right). We (the Burliuk Foundation) do not yet feel we have enough information to make a public declaration regarding the authenticity of your painting (we need high resolution photographs and additional time to check our archives). However, it can be said, the two attached images do make for an interesting comparison.

I can assure you and everyone else reading, the Burliuk Foundation is fully committed to authenticating works attributed to David D. Burliuk through careful examination and analysis. Our authentication process does not rely on subjective analysis, guessing or conjecture. Our goal is to compile an accurate catalogue raisonné that will serve to protect the creative legacy of our ancestor long after our own lives.

We can only achieve our goal by collecting detailed information and high quality images for our catalogue from people like yourself. Any service we provide to an owner (or potential future owner) of a Burliuk artwork is returned with by the information we gather for the preservation of David D. Burliuk's legacy.
