Our consolidated rating

The forum has already been subject of personal ratings, and the proposal was a virtual collection (on a portfolio of securities). Last, unfortunately, does not come to realization, but I hope we will come back to him.
What would somehow streamline the communication of our artistic heritage and a little distracted from oppositions in different directions, I propose a list of first names by period, without regard to their value in relation to each other.
This is only the opinion of the forum, without claiming to be final and indisputable right.

Top Ten Russian and Soviet Painting:
XIX century
XX 1 half
XX 2 nd half

Excluding the areas of creative groups, associations - only the names.

not very clear system of grading ...

fross 20.11.2008 11:39

Just write 10 names for each of the 3 time periods, which in your opinion are the best.

Meister 20.11.2008 11:55

I write from the perspective of value. Best for me - Vrubel, Filonov, Kandinsky, Malevich and more Krasnopevtsev very appreciative.
19 century - Vrubel
XX - Filonov, Malevich, Kandinsky, Tatlin, Rodchenko, Schr Goncharova, Falk, Matyushin, Ender, Larionov.
XX (2 half) - Krasnopevtsev, Rabin, Zverev, Tselkov, Vechtomov.

I'm sorry, but this vote seems to me very vague. I can not in the 19 century to allocate only 10 names. And in any preferred order in which they lead? I "judge" for periods of history painting, rather than half-centuries or even a whole century. 19 century, for example, would be good to share in classicism, romanticism, realism, art nouveau and symbolism. If this does not pay attention (which is wrong), then the 19 century deserves to be separated by at least two:
1-st half of the 19 century: Matveev, Shchedrin, Kiprensky, Venetsianov, Fedotov, Perov, Bryullov, Ivanov, Vasilev.
2 nd half of the 19 century: Savrasov, Levitan, Polenov, Repin, Surikov, Ge, Vasnetsov, Nesterov, Vrubel, Serov, Borisov-Musatov. You see, Aivazovsky, Kuindzhi, Shishkin is not enough positions ... Wanderers also had to be omitted, although they should be presented for the sake of historical justice.
1-st half of 20 century explicitly requested further gradations. Pour in a lot of symbolism with avant-garde, neoclassical and socialist realism does not really want. Even so, the top 10 people for the 1st half of 20 century is not enough. What: Bakst, Benois, Somov, Golovin, Roerich, Kuznetsov, Larionov, Goncharova, Konchalovsky, Mashkov, Kuprin, Kustodiyev, Petrov-Vodkin, Lentulov, Filonov, Tatlin, Malevich, Kandinsky.
And what to do with Pimenov, Deineko, Falk, Tyshler Favorskii, Samokhvalov? A. Gerasimov, too, went down in history. How can I someone does not include ...

All is well - I asked an amateur:) Thank you very much for your response professionals. In my opinion, some of you listed the names of all first appeared on the forum in this message.:) It's a pity, if only it will remain.
Please write the names of more detailed gradation of your choice. And you do not have affected the second half of XX.?

But the number of names in each category, all the same, let's keep the same? We, amateurs, and it will need to somehow learn.:) And then you can go to the next.

it's so - I asked amateur

Yes normal question you asked ... At least everyone understood what is at stake.
No need to calibrate and nothing complicated. Let everyone write for ten names in each "category" and eventually unknown "tridtsatka" the Forum be typed. And if we begin to share for years and direction, we get another abstruse discussion.

I separated by periods will not, during flow into one another, so in the chronology of some tried:
Perov, Surikov, Savrasov, Semiradsky, F. Vasilyev, Repin, Serov, Korovin, Petrov-Vodkin, Malevich, Chagall, Filonov, Rozanova, Popova, Exter, Larionov, Goncharova, Drevin, Udaltsova, Falk, Mashkov, Konchalovsky, Kuprin, Lentulov, Plastov, Salakhov, Nikonov, Korzh, Narimanbeyov.
Quite contemporaries did not include. Contemporaries in spirit, so to speak, though already retired.

DSF 20.11.2008 22:03

Yes, I too think that the question of normal ... Only now 19 century I might, divided by genre.
19 century: Bryullov, A. Ivanov, Fedotov, Vereshchagin, Borovikovsky, Khrutsky, F. Tolstoy, Shishkin, Aivazovsky, Levitan. (although better than 19 century split in half - already very hard to choose).
20 century: Kandinsky, Malevich, Chagall, Kustodiyev, Vrubel, Petrov-Vodkin, Somov, Korovin, Serebryakov, Dejneka.
As for the second half of 20 century - do not know, few works have seen.
