Symbolic significance
+ In China, the sunflower is considered a magical plant that can repel demonic obsessions ...................... Also symbolizes longevity.
-------------------------------------------------- ------------- Scientists have found that "miracles" of sunflowers are doing thanks to the structural features of the stem. Sunflower stalk, looking west, during the night is growing rapidly. Thus, millimeter by millimeter flower promotes its "crown" and meets the morning sun in the east. A day that is exactly the opposite: the eastern part of the stem is growing faster than Western. -------------------------------------------------- ----------------- Chinese art has always been permeated with the bulk sense -------------------------------------------------- -------------------- Although the artist says - Sunflower Seeds-Chinese street snack that friends share with each other, this association comes from the Cultural Revolution (1966-76). At this time, people were deprived of personal liberty, the image of Chairman Mao as the sun and lots of people like sunflowers turning to him. He remembers a division of sunflower seeds as a gesture of human compassion, friendship and kindness in times of extreme poverty, repression and uncertainty. What does it mean to be human in today's society? We are a small or powerless, if you do not act together? With our increasing materialistic desires mean for the future? Says, "From a very young age, I began to feel that people should be an example to society. Your own actions and behavior tells the world who you are and at the same time, what society should be! |
