Art Museum in New Orleans to postpone indefinitely the scandalous exhibition of sculptures by Edgar Degas, cast on the basis of newly discovered 74 plaster casts. The reason for cancellation were doubts about the authenticity of works, According to ARTnews.
The exhibition was to open in November 2011, but the museum's director, Susan Taylor (Susan M. Art dealer Walter Maybaum (Walter Maibaum) stated that casts were found in a French foundry. He has already started selling molded kits of 73 sculptures for $ 20 million.
