Nicoletta Chekkoli vs Gapchinskaya
 

Some time ago there was much debate about whether to accept or not the art work of Ukrainian artist Catherine Gapchinskoy. I'm not a fan of her work, paintings remind me more illustrations.

Imagine my surprise when, by chance on the Internet, I saw pictures of human figures look like this time sanmarinskoy artist Nicoletta Chekkoli (Nicoletta Ceccoli). Born in 1973 in the Republic of San Marino, where he lives and works, Nicoletta Chekkoli graduated from the State Institute of Art in Urbino, in the section animation. But dedicated herself to illustrate children's books, it iilyustratsii published more than 20 prominent Italian publishers (Mondadori, Fabbri, Arch, Fatatrak, St. Paul), and some foreign: England, Taiwan and Switzerland. His books have been translated in France, Korea, Mexico, Spain and the United States.

In 2001 she was awarded the Hans Christian Andersen, as the best artist of the year, and in 2002 his illustrations for Pinocchio, published by Mondadori received Award of excellence from Communication Art (USA). She participated in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad (Osaka, Tokyo and Bratislava). San Marino has produced three series of stamps dedicated to the rights of children for Christmas and the circus. A series of illustrations devoted to Christmas was awarded Cavallino d'oro Bolaffi author of the best original sketch of 2001.
