Sorry for some irony in the title of the topic.
I have a picture, pictures are attached. Signed clearly reminds one of the famous flourishes I. Repin. Painting, probably, too.
That's my uncle in the Dutch style - a kind of portrait by Rembrandt - a few places me in a dead end ... ))
Can academic work I. Repin?

Oil on canvas, size - approx. 40 to 35 cm ..
I would be grateful for the views ... ))

Cyril, and the first view of the picture - a positive?

Yes, I have no opinion whatsoever.
If I had my thing, it would be the view and even history would :): Repin, say, a lot of copied Rembrandt and his school during the work on "The Resurrection of Jairus's daughter" (1871), for which he was awarded a large gold medal.

He's still just copied rembrantovsky "Portrait of an old man in red".

Assuming that this is a copy of Repin, with some works by Rembrandt, this copy would have to be qualitative. Ilya Efimovich had enough skill for that would execute such a copy, and we would have immediately realized that before we copy it to the work of Rembrandt. After all, the main task of copyist convey as accurately as possible all the features of the copied works. And with this task Repin 1870 (26 years) copes copying the work of Rembrandt's "Portrait of an old woman" (State Hermitage Museum). Of course, the copy is slightly different from the original and this can be seen in comparison. But still Repin can be close to the original, close enough for what we could correctly guess the name of the wizard with whose work was copied. In the present same to the discussion paper there is nothing that we could make believe that this is a copy of a work of Rembrandt.

The manner of Rembrandt's very recognizable in his portraits. This applies not only to the late master of things, but also to earlier.

The first two images, is the work of Rembrandt van Rijn Portrait of an old woman "and a copy of her Ilya Repin. The following image is a portrait by Rembrandt.
