Michael Kokin - Ukrainian painter
 

Mikhail Aleksandrovich Kokin (1921 - 2009) - Ukrainian painter. Born in Dnepropetrovsk. In 1941 graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Art School (teacher M. Panin, M. Pogrebnyak). He studied at the HIC with Grigoryeva and AV Kostetskii. Member of various exhibitions since 1947. Member NSHU (1958), 1976 - Honored, and since 2001 - People's Artist of Ukraine. The works are kept in Dnepropetrovsk XM, Dnipropetrovsk Historical Museum named after D. Yavornyts'kogo, XM Chernihiv, Donetsk, Kaneva, and others, as well as in private collections in many countries.
