The authoritative magazine on the art ARTnews published a list of the ten largest and most active collectors for 2010. The list, in alphabetical order, opens the Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich. Authors list named him collector of art XX-XXI centuries.
Abramovich began to invest in art in 2008 and quickly became famous for his purchases at the auction: for example, he bought paintings by Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud for approximately 86 and 33 million dollars respectively.
