Biography

People's Artist of Ukraine (since 1964). Corresponding Member of the USSR AI (1973). Rod. July 31, 1919 at pp. Red, now the Kostroma region. - Mind. March 9, 1992 in Kharkov. He graduated from the Moscow Art and Industry School. Kalinin (1933-37), teachers Evangulov S., Lange, B.; Moscow Art Institute. VISurikov (1937,1941-44), teachers V. Domogatsky, L. Sherwood, OV Matveev, Kiev Art Institute (1944-45), where he studied under M. Gelman. Member of CW CFS since 1946. Member of Republican, Union and international exhibitions since 1947. Personal exhibitions: Kharkiv - 1957. He taught at the Lviv school of arts and crafts (1946-47), Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Art (1947-56), HGHI-HHPI (1956-66). State prize laureate of the USSR (1952).
