KAPLAN Anatoly L. (Tanhum Levikovich)
1902 - 1980

Born in Rogachev Mogilev province January 10, 1903. As a young man moonlighting as sign production, taught art in school. He studied at the Higher Artistic-Technical Institute (VHUTEIN) in Petrograd-Leningrad (1921-1927) in GS Vereisky and AA Rylov. He lived in Leningrad. In 1937-1940 he worked in experimental lithographic workshop of the Leningrad branch of the Union of Artists (Head - GS Vereysky).
Works by Kaplan are in many museum collections around the world, including the State Russian Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery, Pushkin Museum im. Alexander Pushkin, the State Hermitage Museum, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the National Gallery in Washington, the Vatican Museum in Rome, Stedeliyk Museum in Amsterdam, the Museum Ludwig in Cologne, Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
