Personality and work of Ukrainian artist Mikhail Tkachenko, an outstanding landscape of the Kharkov school, who lived between Ukraine and France on the verge of XIX and XX centuries, will become a real discovery for the true connoisseurs of art. Jubilee exhibition devoted to 150 anniversary of the birth of the artist, was the result of the first thorough study of his works of art studies and biographies, undertaken by Dmitry Golts, an auction house expert "Corners", and the well-known art historian Olga Lagutenko.

Talent Mikhail Tkachenko appreciated at two imperial courts - Alexander III and Nicholas II. Since the end of 1880 he played the orders of the Imperial Naval Staff, and since 1901, and until sunset of the Empire Tkachenko was chief artist Marine Office and was the main seascapes Russia. His work often became precious diplomatic gifts to Russian-french relations. Marinas Tkachenko admired not only the French officials and the presidents, but also the harshest critics of St. Petersburg and Paris.

After a brilliant end of the Imperial Academy of Arts, Mikhail Tkachenko first arrived in Paris in 1888, and this city forever changed his life. Education in the Academy Cormon Tkachenko led to a new understanding of art, making it the leading position among artists of his time. Later, at the meetings of the Russian Club - community of Russian artists in Paris, Tkachenko, met with Nikolai Gritsenko and his mentor - Alexey Bogolyubov. Established painters of the Naval Staff of Russia in France, Bogolyubov and Gritsenko attracted Tkachenko to meet the highest orders, which helped him later to make a brilliant career as a courtier seascape. All his years in Paris, Mikhail Tkachenko held in the former studio of renowned French academics and neogreka "Jerome on the Boulevard de Clichy. On this street lived Edouard Manet, and in the Cafe Guerbois "in the neighborhood every evening famous artists and writers - Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Alfred Sisley, Leconte de Lisle, Mallarmé, Verlaine. This painting was enriched Tkachenko features art of modern times - Impressionism, Symbolism and Art Nouveau.

The opening will be submitted to the album, and study the life and work of Mikhail Tkachenko author Dmitry Golts and Olga Lagutenko - a unique publication, which will open a new colorful chapter in the history of Ukrainian art.
