Scholarship named after Joseph Brodsky for 2010 was awarded to poet Maria Stepanova, who is also chief editor of the portal Openspace.ru. She will have the opportunity to work for six weeks in Rome and Venice, RIA Novosti reported quoting the press service of the scholarship fund.
Stepanova finished Literary Institute. On account of its seven poetry collections. Her poems have been translated into English, Italian, German, French and other languages. Earlier Stepanova became laureate of Pasternak, Andrei Bely, and others. In 2009 she was part of the jury "The Russian Prize."
