Illegible signature
 

It is a tremendous request to the ACS transcripts Copyright squiggle Amateur 'y, and others wishing to try to identify the author. Perhaps he was a Dutchman.

At first glance reads:

J.H. Wadder
J.H. Wadler
J.H. Walder

I looked yesterday, my first impression was "Sandor.

These options are undoubtedly possible. But, alas, nowhere on these artists not mentioned, nor Google, nor Metacrawler of them do not know.

There is a John Henry Waddell (1921 -) American sculptor and painter. But I am not sure it was him, although his signature is slightly similar to the one in your picture (see attachment). The fact that he signed without initials, and even painted on landscapes and nudes, and occasionally portraits. His paintings can be found at: http://www.artbywaddell.com/317558.html

In the bases are mentioned artists James H. Waddell and John Holms Waddell. About them, absolutely nothing is known, only one picture of the first (Madonna with the Christ child) is available in the network. Captions do not see it.

It appears that your landscape is written amateur: I think (maybe only on the photo), that the surface water in the left side of the picture - not flat.

and it seems quite fresh work, in the sense recently written.

And here is your John Henry Waddell liked, though at least he and an American, but it says LSR relatives, apparently from the village of London.
