It could be Poland and Galicia. Signed probably Latin.

Purchased in Ukraine. What about the period of writing?

I think this work more than 50 but not more than 100 years :)

30-ies, no doubt, if not 40 th.
But, maybe, and 20 th.

Commercial value is small: very very grim.

yaltarom, to mean the reverse side, frame + + canvas stretcher, pull free end of the 18 th, early 19 th centuries.
But painting is really the first half of the 20 th century.
Do not be lazy, scratch with layer of paint to work in a place where no pity.
Rarely, but happens in such a situation, a colorful layer of some sort (not necessarily valuable) church work two centuries ago.
