Jouve Paul (1878-1973). Lithographer, sculptor, illustrator. Son of the painter. Since childhood, he studied craft lithographer. Paul Juve have always been fascinated by animals, and depicted them in paintings, sculptures, drawings, and particularly in print. As a student, he held practice in the Natural History Museum and Botanical Garden in Paris. Visited the zoo in Hamburg, Antwerp. He received a grant in 1907 to travel to North Africa to study the birds and animals in their natural habitat and was so fascinated by the exoticism of Algeria, which remained there for two years. After World War Juve resumed work on the image of wild animals on paper. He continued to travel to watch birds and animals in their environment and represent them with the utmost precision. Collaborated with the famous engraver F.-L. Schmid. Along with him Juve designed the book, Kipling's "Jungle", which had great commercial success. At Christie's auction in Paris, 20.11. 2009 lithograph of the artist "Moving panther" was sold for 15000 euros.
