The portrait depicts a famous Lithuanian artist Bronius Shalyamoras, which is at the bottom left of the inscription "I very much like B. Shalyamoras, slightly to the right the inscription" Vilna ".

He studied at the Vilna drawing school (1909 - 1911), Odessa Art School (1911 - 1915) by K. Kostandi, Petrograd Academy of Fine Arts (1915 - 1917) at Salemann, I. Tvorozhnikova, in VHUTEINe (1923 - 1927, Leningrad) in VM Konashevych and K. Petrov-Vodkin. Lived in Kharkov.

Erudite, wit, hoaxer, a talented graphic artist and painter, BG was a bright and visible personality in the environment Kharkov artists 1920 - 1960. Peculiar and striking appearance stylistic creativity AB was formed under the influence of Impressionism K. Kostandi (sketches 1910's and 1 960's.) Painting Petrov-Vodkin, Filonov, P. Kvitko (Letter to Comrade Voroshilov, 1935 and 1937 98), M. knowledge [and?] (Connick, 1940; Tree, 1941), Sergei Mikhalkov (ships, 1941), James City (Connick, 1943). Illustrated classics: Turgenev (Mumu, Biryukov, 1934), Lermontov (Borodin, 1948).

Widely known are his lithographs mounted, included in the commemorative albums: of the 100 th anniversary of the death of Pushkin (Pushkin among the Gypsies ") and the 125-th anniversary of Shevchenko (Shevchenko in Orsk Fortress").

Master lyrical landscape: "The snow fell. Yard "(1937)," Ruins. Kharkiv "(1944)," Spring "(1944)," River Tyasmin 99 "(1944)," On the Dnieper "(1947)," Dnepr. Noon "(1948) - all in the technique autolithographies.

Member of the CCS in 1938 in 1945 - 1969. taught at the Art (since 1963 - Art and Industry) Institute (Professor).

Almost all the pre-war painting B. died (looted) during the occupation of Kharkov 1941 - 1943.

Personal exhibitions: 1962, Kharkiv Art Institute, 1974, Kharkiv, Art Museum.
In 1968, VI Bilyk (Lvov) on the work of B. wrote a monograph (not published).
Her works are in HHM, DMUOM and other archive - in Moscow, a granddaughter B. - Faith Evgenievna Bondarenko.
