Alberto sugi (Alberto Sughi), was born October 5, 1928 in Chezene.Hudozhnik - self-taught, began painting at age six, in every way encouraged by his mother, took lessons in painting from his uncle, the artist. In 1946 he held his first exhibition in his native city. Next year an illustrator working in Turin for the Gazzetta del Popolo.

In 1948 he visited the Venice Biennale, and remains under the strong impression of still lifes Fougeron and in 1954 he wrote that the realism of the artist he was struck by the extent that forced to review their own objectives in the works.

In the early 70's Alberto leaves his studio and returned to Cesena.
He begins a series of works titled Dinner (La Cena) (post 1) , which is a metaphor for the middle class society, and in which there is some analogy with the "realism" by German artist Gross and Dix.

Concerning the "realistic" period, I would not compare it with Hopper, and with Wyeth. Hopper (who was very fond of) land, and your sugi brings with Wyeth (which is also very fond of) a certain "flyuidnost. Yes, and the mood they are, it seems to me closer.
A Dix and Gros - also, in my opinion, wrong. We sugi no inherent aggressiveness and some vulgarity.
And on the distant influence of Munch's nobody wrote? For me it is obvious.
