Alexey Beketov (1862-1941 Kharkiv) - famous Russian and Soviet architect and landscape painter, academician of architecture since 1894, professor of the St. Petersburg Imperial Academy of Arts since 1898, Doctor of Architecture from 1939, Honored Art Worker of the Ukrainian SSR (1941).

Author of more than twenty architectural masterpieces, mainly in the style of classical Russian school of architecture and Art Nouveau.
