Evenings in Skatyatinsky: Sergei Zagny
A series of "Evenings in Skatyatinsky" begins with a performance of Sergei Zagniy - well-known composer and performer of his own music.
On the inevitable question arose, why he became the first, we could answer another question: "Why someone else?"
But the answer, I think, still is.
Not only that, Sergei Zagny one of the most consistent and striking avant-garde in contemporary academic music. It is also unusual in its propensity for intense creative collaboration with both fellow musicians, and with "subcontractors" - poets, painters, actors. Suffice it to mention its joint performances with Andrew Monastyrsky, Mark Pekarsky, Nikolai Polissky, Dmitri Prigov, Lev Rubinstein, Masha Chuikova.
Artistic activities rotting, for which the spatial component of his music is important, not less than the sound most naturally fits into the contemporary art process, and with extraordinary clarity and conviction demonstrates the arbitrariness and opacity mezhzhanrovyh and interspecific boundaries.
