Alex Kokel Afanasevich.Zhivopisets, grafik.Rod. March 13, 1880 at pp. Tarkhany, Chuvashia - mind. February 4, 1956 in Kharkiv. He studied at the private studio painting at the O. Makovsky, a drawing school at the Academy of Arts (St. Petersburg, 1902-03), St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1904-12), where he studied with J. Tsionglinskogo, V. Savinskoye, D. Kardovskiy. Member of the Society of Kharkov artists (1916-20), Association of Artists of Ukraine Red (1925-35), CW CFS since 1938. Member of international (since 1913), all-Union, republican (since 1928) exhibitions. Personal exhibitions: Kharkiv - 1960. Worked as head. Directorate of the Military District komssariata (1920-e gg.) taught at the XXV (1916-21), the Kharkiv Art Institute (1921-36), Professor (since 1939).
