London Tate Gallery spent 441 thousand pounds (708 thousand dollars) for the purchase of eight etchings of William Blake, wrote on January 11 the British The Daily Telegraph. Funds for purchase of prints were collected by donations from club patrons galleries, sponsors and community organizations.
The former owner of the engravings, wished to remain anonymous, bought them by accident in 1978. Writes The Times, engravings were invested in the book with the schedule of trains, that a man bought bukinisticheskoj sale. For a long time the owner was unaware of the true value of work and thought of them as duplicates.
