Mr y, partly agree with you. His Parisian period where the donkey is not clear. Maybe you have any information on this? I would certainly see a lot of his work. At one time I was lucky and I got to sell part of its legacy in France, but from about 60 works was about 10 paintings rest of his boards and graphics. But honestly can tell you what he passed on the plates and the schedule is sometimes beyond the power of many artists on canvas. For what exactly he received gold medals at the salty, I do not know (a friend is one such way of his medal). For all time creative hobbies M. Tkachenko I've seen only about 100 of his works, something clearly, something in the spaces of the Internet, something in the books ... As for me a medal, many pulled :)... During the resurgence of nationalism in France (after the defeat in the Franco-Prussian War), it was a rare case. And a few years before zhudozhnik was also awarded at the same Salon, Great Gold Medal, which gave him the right to exhibit his works without a jury ... Great success was his personal exhibition in Paris in 1909.
