Auction house Christie's to sell drawing by Raphael, estimated at 12-16 million pounds. This is almost twice the current record for the old graphics masterov.Christie 's going to sell the drawing "Head of the Muses" at the auctions in London on 8 December. Figure is a sketch for one of the four figures "Parnassus" - murals, written by Raphael in the papal work study Stanza della Senyatura (Stanza della Segnatura) in 1508-1511, respectively.

The greatest activity in the bidding shown by collectors from Europe - they bought 46 percent of all lots in the U.S. (43%), Asia and the Middle East (11%).

Apart from the fact that proceeds from the auction is an unprecedented high, as the auction was set three world records were outstanding.
