Christie's auction exposes on Tuesday, November 24, to bid the first edition of Charles Darwin's work "The Origin of Species. For a long time was released in 1859, the book was kept in the locker guest toilet in the house in the south of Britain.

Copies of the first edition of The Origin of Species "are rare and are usually sold for large sums. The last time this book put up for tender in May 2009 and has sold more than 50 thousand dollars. |
Rare copy of Darwin's "Origin of Species" sold at Christie's auction for 172 thousand dollars. Originally, organizers had planned to bail out the bidding for the sensational find at least 99 thousand dollars, but the ultimate scrip almost twice the estimate, reported AP.
