Remember what turns ordinary Soviet citizens were in good performances, cut down the crowd for the opening of exhibitions of artists in the House of Artists, from hand to hand transfer and read a good book. Rather cap. system, a simple man raised on the brink of survival (in the animal-like state :)) and he was not up to the paintings and opera.
