Masonite (in the West it is called the Masons) was invented in the United States in 1924, actively produce and use it as a building material began there in 1929 in the Soviet Union began its use after the war, so that pre-war origins of your pictures is unlikely.

here in this topic discussed the issue with hardboard.

"We have to use it after the war started in about late 50's, when adjusted manufacture. But that does not figure! Same met the pre-war restoration work done on hardboard, for example Burachek (1871 - 1942). Tobish canvas in the Soviet Union was before the war ... "

When I wrote that the author would have to search for someone who in their family dabbled in painting, the message was immediately removed. But this was leveling to determine the name of the artist, the main question of fasting.
Here me now and wonder if admin will remove arguments about hardboard.
Upstream of the Lord! This sentence is not to your address, do not be offended .:):):)

Sure was. Masonite - is one of the trade names fiberboard (fibreboard). This story of the appearance of fiberboard is as follows:
In 1858, the American Lyman was obtained first patent for the production of fibreboard (MDF).
In 1864 a scientist named Munch created an installation for production of plates without binder, with the help of hot pressing.
American Mason in 1924, only perfected the method of producing fiberboard, quite by accident. The scientist had gone previously turned off the steam valve for hot pressing, but because of the failure of crane pairs continued to act in the press. Returning, Mason found in the installation of the slab is very high-density fiberboard for having called this his name mzysonitom.
Thus since 1870 possible picture on fiberboard.
In the USSR, widely used in the 1960's.
