Photo of Bart Dorsa in MMSI
Вложений: 10
In the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Tver Boulevard 9) passes an exhibition of American photographer Bart Dorsa. All photographs on exhibition black and white, hand-print. As stated in a press release, the author uses the rare and almost forgotten way to print photos - mokrokollodievaya print (mokrokollodionny process). In printing technique he uses metal plates, which causes silver nitrate, and while the plate is sensitive to light, makes the photograph. The exhibition also shows the apparatus itself for the shooting: there's no shutter, the flash, it's just a wooden box with two lenses, substitute lens. Everyone understands that the process of shooting can last for hours, as the author must manually manage the process.
Some may ask: "And, actually, why?" But this is reduced to the discussion "figure, or film." There are fans of the original photos when the photographer himself is doing everything (some would say, create), rather than vehicle for him. Now about the subjects. The exhibition is called "In the depths of my doll house" (Deep Inside My DollHouse). Snapshot of the dark, hard to perceive, recall images of horror films (this is my personal opinion). It is said that the exhibition was held in complete darkness: black walls, poor lighting, visitors wandered, we can say to the touch. Tamila,
The ninth shot in the second post you have turned right under the style of the author! Thank you. |
There are painters who - regardless of time, genre, style, state of mind, purse, family circumstances, etc. - have a light. And even if the author draws a black cat in a dark room or Africans in an ambush in the moonless night - it will still be light (ie, what is striking emotional heartfelt response). And there are the same photographers - alas, very little.
And there - on the contrary. And they are orders of magnitude more - because the light daden not everyone and give it immeasurably more difficult than to throw out the negative flow of society, which lacks the adrenaline. Vladimir Bogdanov was an article on the remarkable headline: "What hurt more, the more expensive". That is exactly the same case, in my opinion. |
