Dragon Throne set a record at Sotheby's auction
 

Chinese carved imperial throne XVIII century with images of dragons sold at Hong Kong auction house Sotheby's for $ 11 million. Thus, a new record price for an antique Chinese furniture, reported Reuters.
Dragon throne made of precious sandalwood, highly esteemed in China. It is no accident the previous record price for a historical furniture was also installed to the object of sandalwood: in 2008 for 4,5 million dollars at Sotheby's auction went to the table of the same era (Emperor Qianlong), as the dragon throne.

В числе других заметных лотов гонконгских торгов 8 октября 2009 года были фарфоровые вазы: одна ушла с молотка за 2,8 миллиона долларов, другая - за 1,7 миллиона.
