Where can I find a detailed history and chemical analysis of the pigments, varnishes and oil binders used by Michael Vrubel and Victor Vasnetsov in their oil paintings? I am particularly interested in the specific pigments they are known to have used between 1890 and 1910. Also, the paintings the pigment samples are taken from. And if possible the place of origin of the pigments, varnishes and oil base.

I would also like to ask how did Vrubel and Vasnetsov prime their canvases during this same period?
