"Linguistic" engraving?
 

Very interested in the opinions of experts. What this document means?
Maybe someone that would clarify the situation regarding the language.: (
Sheet size 54cm to 35.5 cm by 32cm facets of 22,5 cm
Guess list-an illustration of the historical atlas, probably Tues pol.19v. A copy of some ancient document. Engraving on copper (metal), possibly with etching. Noticeable facets of board with rounded corners.
Search inete author-illustrator engraving Willemin so far??
Some characters, in my opinion, are similar to the Greek. alphabet: shy:, but do not undertake to assert

With its no knowledge in.yazyka, I realized that in the engraving text is written by the famous "rozetskogo" stone, through which have been deciphered Egyptian hieroglyphs.
If my memory serves me, then the rozetskom stone was written the text in three languages of the same content.
One of the oldest languages in the 19-m was already known.
Then the linguists involved in deciphering the method of comparison were able to decipher Egyptian hieroglyphics.
It was not so easy, but the result was.
