Dear friends

I have just such work:

1. Signed "A. Beggrow 1896"
2. Size 30 cm by 25 cm
3. Material - Cardboard
4. Photo attached.

The plot is not typical for AK Beggrova, which is mainly written seascapes.

The Kiev Institute of restoration specialist for printed materials (not vouch for the title, but for prints, books, and so it is there main) argues that this chromolithograph, and made no later than 1917

I was in a little hard to believe, as the technique is not like chromolithograph. In addition, the salience of stroke suggests the idea of coloring butter.

In addition, very much like watercolor. And lithography.

If it's just The Draw products, not the author's - where the original work? Nowhere in A. Beggrova not find similar. And if The Draw products, where, in what the publishing house (the magazine) and when it could be printed? Again, why did a copy?

I tried to make a macro - this may start a few thoughts.

I would be grateful for any tips! Thank you!

allexx,
I think that Kiev expert somewhere rights. This chromolithograph probably painted or engraved. Such a technique common in Beggrova. In particular at Christie 29.11.2006g. sold seven of these colored engravings with Russian genre scenes. So he not only wrote to the sea:)
Here is a description prodavashihsya prints:
"Tinted engraving, gum arabic, on vellum"
And one photo from the database ArtInvestment.
