Aidan Gallery. Exhibition "Surfaces"
 

Until September 10 at Gallery AIDAN GALLERY at Winzavod last exhibition "Surfaces" - a group show of works by artists gallery (as has already been held, and the talented students of the course Aidan Salakhova).

The name "surfaces" are literal. A unifying theme of the exhibition - the variety of forms and textures of the outer visible layer. On this subject, Sergei Khachaturov wrote inspired press release (see http://aidangallery.ru/news/24-07-2009/5). Approximately a quarter of the text was devoted to the works of his favorite artist, Ani acorn. However, all legal - Acorn still the heroine of the core program 53 of the Venice Biennale. And this is not Khukhro-Muhrram.
 
Personal impressions were unexpected. I can not say that like fur pattern beloved since recently Rostand Tavasieva (probably because the played seasonal allergies). "Framework" Ani acorn also seemed too serious (with commentary of art becomes much more understandable, but to my taste too much all the ascetic).

To the surprise of the longest stay at the exhibit wall made si-prints of Oleg Dou (Duryagina), to the creation of which the ratio was at best flat. And here is moderate and irony, and interesting technical execution. Note: these patterns on the si-print Doe - a larger stamping on the road rolls of toilet paper. The photo did not pass, but the texture is transferred so that standing by the original photo, there is an optical illusion. The audience seems that he sees the volumetric three-dimensional image of these patterns. But if you look at the surface of the side, it seems to be all smooth. However, 100%not sure, no matter how trying to take a closer look - the quality of optical illusion of height.
