Ceychas trip to France. In several castles along the Loire came across a rather clumsy copy of Leonardo. Find out how they got here: a custom-made copies or as purchased originals:) failed. Placards read: "N /X, a copy of the work of Leonardo." But there are many, starting with the Mona Lisa and ending with the missing Leonardo subjects. It would be interesting to examine what really happened.

I understand that many of Leonardo Hermitage in the world are questionable?
In general, the mysterious author of a long-lived, wrote, sculpted, built ... There's nothing left ... Some crumbs, traces, Multi base of pictures ...
Experimental groups, Che did not create everything falling apart .. Even the fresco, the standard sort of thing in those days, could not normally do, the Last Supper crumbled almost immediately, in its normal state, no one saw ... not comply with the technology.
And still we love him. That's really really-Image is EVERYTHING!

I thought about the same visit, when I remember his legacy. : D

Yes, Leonardo - really a phenomenon that does not speak!
It is interesting to describe his life and work of Dmitri Merezhkovsky in his book "Resurrected gods, or Leonardo da Vinci" (1901) ... who have not read - I strongly advise!

I suppose that the copies were made to attract tourists. In the Clos-Luce, where da Vinci spent the last years, with the same purpose made furniture and interiors, in which he lived, and mechanisms for his drawings. Well, even the dishes do not have to produce, too, in his drawings. But would enjoy demand.:)

Perhaps he was more explorer than a painter, and master of all trades, even entertainment spectacle for the King arranged. And here we are arguing whether the artist is professional earns no painting.:)

I think that most of these copies were still made before the mass tourism has become all the known natural disaster:)
ytsuken, you, at Chambord, must have been told that the castle designed by da Vinci, which is rather doubtful, but the castle still insanely beautiful, right?

Chambord and the truth is very beautiful. And I doubt you are not in vain, Da Vinci made only one of the first projects, and even the famous double staircase is not entirely consistent with his surviving drawings. According to his plan of a double spiral staircase was designed so that raises could not see coming down.

Maybe on his project. Or some ... It has some strangeness, too much of that in other cases considered "excesses", but they perform the function of any content, point to something, not just create an image of beauty, as happens with the "excesses" but even that something terrible is translucent, and Leonardo is there ...
