House Christie's will hold the first auction design
 

House Christie's will hold a Sept. 8, 2008 in New York early in its history, trading items, created by the greatest modern designers. The press release referred to an auction house such authors as Zaha Hadid, Ron Arad, Marc Newson, Forrest Myers, Teijo Remy Martin Bass, Shiro Kuramata, Ettore Sottsass and Harush Shlomo. The total proceeds from the auction should be from 1,2 to 1,7 million dollars.
One of the most expensive lots in the catalog was so "Aqua", made by architect Zaha Hadid: it is estimated at 150-200 thousand euros. Steel sofa "D" Israeli Ron Arad put up for auction for 200-300 thousand, and a table made of stainless steel of the same designer - for 100-150 thousand.
