Restorers found an unknown self-portrait of Michelangelo
 

Only recently was the theme of self-portrait by Rembrandt. Here and previously unknown self-portrait of Michelangelo revealed:

Newspaper The Independent says that the two horse figures at the left edge of the picture can be seen the third rider in a bright blue turban . This is Michelangelo.
The mural was created between 1545 and 1550 years. It is in the Pauline chapel, which is located in the closed to the public part of the Apostolic Palace in Vatican City. Five-year restoration of the chapel and its contents are two frescoes of Michelangelo (except the "Crucifixion of St.. Peter" there is still an "Appeal St. Paul") ended June 30, 2009.
It is noteworthy that the self-portrait of Michelangelo's fresco on the Apostle Peter once been found: they were found standing in the bottom right of the figure with crossed arms. Subsequently, this hypothesis was rejected.
