Collection of nearly 130 letters of the legendary actress and singer Marlene Dietrich sold at auction in Berlin only after a significant reduction in price. When the cost of the lot with the launch of four thousand euro fell to three, unknown to the buyer on the phone agreed to acquire the collection, said the German agency ddp.

Last 13 years of life the actress spent in bed, communicating with the outside world by telephone. Marlene Dietrich died on May 6, 1992 in Paris.

Personal letters of French singer Edith Piaf in Paris were sold at auction, the auction house Christie's, over 67 thousand euro. It is reported by AFP on Thursday, June 25.
Lot includes 57 letters of the singer, addressed to the French champion's Cycling Zherardenu Louis (Louis Gerardin), with whom Piaf was a novel. They were written in the period from November 1951 to September 1952. They bought a French collector, who wished to remain anonymous.
In his letters to Edith Piaf had promised to forget the French cyclist champion of middleweight boxing champion Marcel Cerdan (Marcel Cerdan), with whom the singer met before they got to know Zherardenom (Cerdan died in a car accident in 1949). Roman between Piaf and Zherardenom ended in 1952, when the singer married actor Jacques Peel (Jacques Pills).
Love Letters Piaf and previously exhibited at the auction. For example, in January 2009, Piaf's letter, addressed to the Greek actor Dimitris Horn, went under the hammer for 1.5 million euro.
