Bulgarian origin. In 1880 he studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. He became famous as the author of works depicting horses, scenes of hunting and racing. Also writing genre paintings, developing the theme of the military life of the Cossacks. Paintings and drawings by the artist reproduced in magazines 1890 - 1900's. Works are in museums and private collections in Europe. His compositions with the horses are in great demand on the antiques market.
