Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy
 

Modern Museum of Calligraphy, founded in 2008 - is Russia's first museum of art writing. Around the world, particularly in Turkey, China, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, there are museums with a permanent exhibition of calligraphic works in Russia, such experience is unparalleled.

     The museum was initiated calligraphy act "National Union of Calligraphers, Sokolniki Exhibition Center and Exhibition Company MVK. The museum was officially registered at the Department of Justice July 22, 2008.

     Among the presented exhibits - fine specimen of Slavonic and European literature, local and foreign books on calligraphy, rare copies of manuscripts that have been released single copies, desk sets past and present, exquisite works of the Jewish school of calligraphy.

     In the fall collection of the museum added a real jewel - Handwritten Constitution of Russia, executed with the participation of the National Union of Calligraphers. The centerpiece of the exhibition are also beautifully decorated works - paintings calligraphers from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Germany, France, Israel, Syria, United States, Japan, China and other countries. They are living pieces of art which have accumulated the masters of many generations, centuries-old tradition of writing. Also, visitors can see the work of students of the famous calligraphers - those who are just beginning to move in calligraphy skills of their teachers.
