Slater, Robert (1919-1995) was an American artist, painter and graphic artist. Born in new York city in a family of immigrants. The mother is a native of Kharkov province, his father was a native of Scotland. During the Second world war he served in the U.S. army, participated in the landing at Normandy. Was awarded the bronze star. After the war he studied at the new York school of the arts Cooper Union School of Arts (1945). Worked as an Illustrator in many publishing houses in new York. Permanent Exhibitor of the exhibitions of the National Academy of arts and design in new York. In the period from 1980 to 1995 created a large series of provocative paintings of erotic content.
