Дубовской Николай Никанорович (1859–1918)

I want show you a paintings of Дубовской Николай Никанорович (1859–1918). It is made of oil on canvas and has size 24 x 32,5 cm.
The painting shows river Newa.

The painting has been sold for €3.000 in auction in Germany.

What I don't understand why this painting costs €3.000 and others €30.000 or more.

What is the reason for that?

Somebody who bought this painting is a lucky man?

What is your opinion on that? What is a value of this painting?

Thank you in advance.

best regards

Anyone who bought this picture of a happy person?

He is not happy. He is blessed...

Waldemar 20.05.2015 20:59

Thank you :)

I assume that you consider this painting - based on this picture - as original.

But why this huge price difference? All auktion are today online, everybody can always see all offered items and can make bids for them.

Price difference because there was no certificate of authenticity?

Or maybe it was really luck to buy this painting for this money?

Who knows?

Waldemar, Don't you see the thought expressed by an Amateur?
Then you are blessed!

Waldemar 20.05.2015 22:17

What do you mean by that?
That the painting is not original? That this painting is a copy or maybe fake?
Is this what you mean?
If yes - why do you think so?

Thanks

I assume you think this picture is based on this picture - as original.

While (TTT) in sound mind and memory, I with all responsibility declare: presented to You the landscape has no relation to the creative work of Nikolay Nikanorovich Dubovskoy.
P. S. in Fairness, I note that Uriart my idea was expressed much more concisely.:)

Thank you.
I understand.

What is the motivation of a auction house to sell a painting which is not original? An Auktion house has in most cases 1 Jahr guarantee on sold items.

The auction house sell item as original because:
1. it is really original
2. they have no experise and don't know exactly
3. they know it is not original, they sell and hope that they will have no problems

If it is not original painting the auction house will get the painting back and they must pay the money back. What is the deal?

Who could provide expertise in such case?

very confused.

Judging on Your specific question, I impress clinical idiots. Alas, it's not...

Please stay professional. We are discussing one topic.

Please note that if person A say something about person B than it says more about person A as about person B.

I summarise our disskussion: in your opinion this painting is a fake.
