Ukrainian painter, landscape painter, portraitist and genre painter. Born in S. Berry Orenburg region. In 1953 graduated from Kyiv Institute of art (he studied under I. Shtilman, K. Spruce, A. Shovkunenko). From 1963 he taught at KHI, 1977 - Professor. Honored worker of arts of the USSR from 1964. People's artist of USSR in 1976. Lived and worked in Kiev.
