Icon No. 2 - help to understand who the saints are depicted
Вложений: 3
Good day!
there's such an icon. Do I understand it correctly (after reading the forum) that this is "Krasotka"? Approximately what time? "Only spiritual value" or cultural material. Poorly preserved, restoration, probably the most expensive of the icon? And most importantly - who is depicted on it, do you think? Above figures have inscriptions in red, but can not read, they are too corrupt :( the Woman is Paraskeva, maybe? Thanks in advance for your help! |
No, this is not a "Krasotka". The icon is of course the letter is very mediocre, but still far from primitive-cursive artisanal "Krasotka". What the Saints are depicted, it is difficult to say, we need to understand, to read the inscriptions. The icon is gray. - Tue. Paul. 19th century, one of the workshops in Central Russia. The value of material is small, 1-2-3T R., restoration here will really pay a lot more icons in its current form.

It's not about flowers. "Krasotka" is a slang word and it implies common primitive shorthand icon from the gang of Vladimir region, absolutely certain letters, usually on a thin poorly treated cheap Board, pewter background, etc., Here are the icon is very different conditions, another letter, though colors and matching.
