The name C. A. Gilyarovskogo is due not only to literature, but also painting, applied art. The love for art was one of the strongest passions Gilyarovskogo. When C. A. Gilyarovsky came in literature and art, leading role in Russian painting played the Wanderers.
Gilyarovsky was a regular and active member of the art group "Environment" C. E. Staravina, and very interesting wrote about it in "Moscow and Muscovites".

Smorawinski "environment" . Circle began its existence in the 80-ies in the Moscow Society of art lovers, then the singer K. S. Shilovsky and really flashed about in the mid 90-ies in B. E. Staravina. His house was wide open for people in the arts. On Wednesday came the artists, various aesthetic beliefs, all who value the society of fellows. They sit at a large table, painted, wrote watercolor. Drawings often played the lottery. Come on "environment" artists, writers, and patrons. Some of them bought any lottery tickets in batches and became the owners of sketches, even complete songs that belonged to Peru or brush Levitan, K. Korovin, Polenov, Nesterov. Here you can hear Chaliapin singing, monologue artist Lena, the game is brilliant pianists. At twelve o'clock in the morning sounded the Gong, calling an end to the proceedings. In the framework of the exhibition "Salon and academic art of the nineteenth century" with the participation of the Russian Museum and a number of provincial museums of Russia, Saratov Radischevskaya Museum for the first time(!) plates from the Museum's collection were exhibited in the exposition, however only 8 pieces...

Collection Radischevskaya Museum consists of 18 items early 1900-ies ( one subject I).

It was not a workshop...this was more of salon painting, performed well-known and lesser-known artists for the soul...they had no professional skills of painting on porcelain, which require special skills, composition, colors, etc....but it was the hand of Russian realist artists, the love of art, the desire to pohudet with friends...

it was just the brotherhood...friendly circle of like-minded people.
